Our Favorite Independent Podcast Resources

Need a little help getting your podcast off the ground?

Whether you’re just starting out, or you’ve reached a growth plateau, we could all use a little help when it comes to podcasting.

But with so-called gurus, “experts”, and “ninjas” out there, it can be tough to figure out who to trust.

That’s why we’ve put together a list of our favorite independent podcast resources. These are people who have been in the trenches and have come out the other side with some great advice.

We’ve broken it down into three sections to help you find exactly what you need. The first is “all-around help,” these are the resources that do it all. The next two are a bit more specific, giving you insight into recording techniques and marketing assistance.

Let’s take a look at the list and get you on the path to success.

The All-around Help

Especially if you’re just starting out, finding a one-stop resource for all of your podcasting needs can be a great way to save time (and money).

Here are our favorites:

1. Podcast Insights

Podcast Insights is a blog, training resource, and (now defunct) podcast. There are countless ideas, tips, and strategies for creating and launching your show from scratch.

Their podcast “Podcasting Simplified” has over 60 episodes with topics ranging from “Best Royalty Free Music Sites” to “Best WordPress Themes for Podcasters.” Start here if you’re new to podcasting and need a little (or a lot of) help getting started.

Boomcaster

We’d be remiss if we didn’t mention Boomcaster on this list. We are a little biased but we’re constantly creating content to help independent podcasters better than creations.
